The Living Page is an initiative we developed here at Phibble. Most of the web pages that exist today are fairly static, and over time become stale and outdated, and if we're being honest- they become useless. Comments have helped lengthen the life of some stories, but it's not enough to keep the page alive. The other problem with these pages is that often it's a one-sided viewpoint of a story. Comments can expand the view somewhat, but it's only a start.
On Phibble, when we post a story or page, the content self updates, so you are always current with that topic. Here's what you can expect from a Living Page:
- Live conversations from around the Web
- Self updating pictures, text and other related content
- Extensive Facebook Open Graph Integration (so you can take your "living page" with you)
- Comments by real people (your friends), not trolls or spammers
- Multiple media experiences; audio, video, animations
- Embedded Twitter feeds, Facebook Like Boxes and News Feeds
That's what we have for a start. As we move forward, we'll be adding more features, and deeper integration with the popular social networking sites, and even geo location services like Foursquare, and even allow you to "check in" to a web page to get some cool stuff.
