Biography
Recently named by Rolling Stone as one of the top 25 artists on MySpace, Singer-songwriter Shannon Hurley is part of the new 'soft revolution'....making quietly beautiful music, brimming with melody. Shimmering production and lyrics full of imagery make this artist worth putting on your essential listening list. An advanced copy of her full length debut (soon to be released) found its way to the airwaves of XM Radio's highly influential "Radar Report". Shannon aslo received an ASCAPlus award for her soon-to-be-released album. Music Connection Magazine called Shannon "a gifted and impressive songwriter and performer". LA Times "Buzz Bands" columnist Kevin Bronson has made his way to Shannon's shows.

Shannon is the co-founder of Don't Call Us Tori, a showcase for quality women singer-songwriters. These shows are held in L.A. venues such as the Hotel Cafe, Tangier, and Karma Coffeehouse. Shannon is also the keyboardist for Universal Motown artist Brie Larson (who is starring in the new movie "Hoot"). Shannon appeared in the video for "She Said", and alongside Brie, opened for Jesse McCartney, Gwen Stefani, and the Black Eyed Peas.
